Borderers Join Freecycle Movement

Got an old sewing machine you don't know what to do with? Need a fridge freezer in fine working order? A set of kid's golf clubs? Look no further...
Nearly 300 Borderers have now joined the Freecycle network - the global grassroots movement dedicated to giving (and getting) stuff free in their local areas. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free - just go online to Yahoo Groups, join up and search for Galashiels & Selkirk Freecycle.
The local Freecycle network has been up and running since April and serves the whole of the Borders.
