The U3A Group in Tweeddale has come up with this interesting proposal for Peeblesshire to become Scotland's first green county. It's got loads of revealing links on power consumption, and asks whether Peeblesshire's needs can be met from local renewable sources. Suggestions include River Tweed energy extraction, biofuel coppicing and 10 more wind turbines...
